I am finally sitting down to catch up on blogging my latest sessions and I knew I wanted to start with the fun we had at Gallmeyer Farms this past May for strawberry picking minis! This type of session is so much fun for the toddler and up crew as they have a mission and a sweet snack all built in. It’s pretty hard to be grumpy out in nature foraging for your next bite of delicious berry. Plus those excited “I found an awesome one” faces make for some memorable images!
There is a great flow to these sessions that helps children (and parents) be themselves.
Having a purpose helps everyone to feel at ease and it felt natural to take a break amidst the picking to grab some classic family portraits. I love how genuine the emotion is in these photos due to the relaxed atmosphere of the strawberry field!

I am so pleased with the end result and it was pretty cool to be able to leave each session with fresh berries and local honey.
